SCOOP 6PM
... all is well
SCOOP 6PM is an interactive, multi-channel video installation premiering December 8, 2011 at University of Oregon's White Box Gallery. The work explores the uniformity, sensationalism, and performative nature of local television news presentations in America. It recontextualizes local television news broadcasts through the synchronized reenactments of seven actors on seven different screens. The installation transforms the viewer into an active controlling agent, allowing gallery participants to interact directly with their media affecting the manner in which the anchors relay content.
SCOOP was the recipient RAAC's Innovation Award in 2011.
